This years AGM was one of the best ever attended with over 50 delegates and guests in attendance on the night.

Election of Officers
Donie Garrihy from Burren Utd was elected the new Chairman of the CDSL when he got an overall majority in the first count over former Chairmen Jim Madden & Frank Healy.

Paul Tuohy the outgoing Chairman of the CDSL was elected Vice-Chairman with a comprehensive victory over Frank Healy.

Michael Lydon was returned as Fixtures Secretary again with a comprehensive victory over Frank Healy.

Frank Gormley from Turnpike Rovers was elected the new CDSL Child Protection Officer

Tom Nestor from Sporting Ennistymon and Padraig McCullough were elected onto committee positions.

All other officers were returned unopposed.

Motions
There was much debate on the motions submitted for the meeting.

A motion by the executive to turn the Clare Cup into a club competition did not get any support.

A motion by Lifford to have a reserve league was well beaten.

A motion from Kilrush Rangers to reduce fines was amended to the following:
Fines for red cards will remain at a minimum of 40e. Fines for 2 yellow cards for minor offences will be reduced to 20e.

A motion from Kilrush Rangers, Corofin Harps and Shannon Olympic to reduce the registration fees was passed by the clubs after much debate.
The registration fee for the coming season will be 30e per player.

A motion from Kilrush Rangers to have a 2.30PM KO for teams traveling over 45KM was withdrawn. Clubs can ring the fixtures secretary to request a specific KO time & he will do his best to facilitate your request.

There was a lengthy debate on introducing a master fixtures list and the following motion was passed:
Any fixtures to be played in August will be published in advance of the start of the season. The last 3 rounds of fixtures for each division will be published at the start of the season and these will not be changed.

The League will also try to ensure that no team will have more than 3 games in hand during the season. This is not a rule but League will do its best here.

A motion by Hermitage FC on medals for League winners was passed by all clubs:
The League to provide up to 25 medals for all League winners if that club has 25 registered players who played a minimum of 3 games during the League campaign. List of players eligible for a medal to be sent on by club after cup has been presented to them. List will then be verified with list of registered players.

The League will also try to have medals at League Cup finals but this is not a rule.

A motion by St Pats to split the Third Division will be reviewed by the Executive after we know how many teams will be in the Third Division this season.

A motion by Burren Utd for all Premier teams to have running water at their grounds was not supported.

A motion by Burren Utd for all Premier & First Division teams to supply changing facilities is already a rule in the League (CDSL Rule 101) and all clubs in these divisions will be audited before the start of the season.

A motion by Shannon Olympic to have an end of season awards night will be trialed at the end of the season to mark the Leagues 50th Celebrations.
