NEWTOWN HAVE FOLDED 7th July 2008
The Clare League are very disappointed that Newtown have informed us this morning that they have withdrawn all teams from our League. We have done everything possible to keep them in our League over the last number of months. The club have told us that they can no longer get people to help out with managing teams in their club and have no option but to fold. From what we have been told most of their players are staying in the Clare League and this should ensure that some of the existing teams in our League are stronger for next season. Shannon Olympic are entering a youths team next season which should also help keep the younger players playing in the Clare League.
