Clare District Soccer League

All clubs informed that they would forefit games after Friday if money owed to the League was not paid. This would continue until such time as money has been paid. Its unfair on the clubs that have paid all their money to let other clubs play without paying money owed. Every club in the League knows what players they have signed and how much money they owe.

There is no set night for midweek games. All clubs were given option at last delegate meeting of asking for a set night for midweek games. If you asked, the League will try to accomodate your club. The reason Youths League play-off was played at 10.30am on Saturday 29th March was only one referee was available on that Saturday due to a referees conference and he was only available for a 10.30am kick-off. All clubs should try to have midweek results in by 9PM and we will do our best to have www.claresoccer.net updated that night.

Clubs were thanked for their response to the Development Committee and feedback on Reserve League. Nine clubs have responded to our request for feedback on Reserve League. Of the nine clubs 3 are in favour, 5 are against and 1 club was undecided. Before the AGM the League will have the Development Committee in place. This Committee will meet all the clubs with B teams and at this meeting a decision will be made on a future Reserve League or alternatives. Details on reasons behind the proposed Reserve League and feedback received will be made available to all clubs before this meeting.

The League will look into organising a first aid course and detail will be published on www.claresoccer.net in the next few weeks.

Congratulations to Inch Crusaders who are the winners of the Team of the Month award for March, sponsored by O’Neill’s Sports and the Clare Champion. Inch won all of their matches in March scoring 11 goals.
