Following feedback from clubs to the FAI County Development Officer and the Clare soccer website, the Clare District Soccer League will be setting up a Development Committee to implement some of your proposed changes over the next 3 years.
The Development Committee will be drawn from CDSL Committee, FAI CDO, and Clubs. We are looking for a minimum of 4 people from the clubs for this committee. Interested people need to contact the Hon. Secretary, Oliver Fitzpatrick before 5PM on Friday 14th March.
The recently announced Reserve League and Licensing systems for all Premier Division clubs are just some of the proposed changes that the Development Committee will oversee.
A brief discussion took place on the night about the new Reserve League with one club expressing a strong objection to this change to the current system.
A discussion took place about the poor coverage of local soccer on ClareFM with a lot of clubs expressing annoyance about the way local soccer is being treated at the moment.
